Looking for some advice on golf shoes. I really like the look of the runner type golf shoes. I was in McGuirks the other day and the ecco ones are pretty cool. Are they for sunnier climates than ours though. The Adidas samba ones are nice too imo. Has anybody got them or any other type. Some prices would be great too if that's allowed.

Yeah there really only for sunny dry courses. There not waterproof and not ideal for Ireland. I went with the Nike lunar control because I really likes the look of them. And there so bloody comfy. Let in no water and look sporty. I got them on eBay for 70 pounds sterling delivered

I bought a pair of Ecco's last year. Wore them right up to October, they were completely dry but under extreme rain started to let in a bit. Changed back to my normal shoes for the winter.

I have to say though, the Ecco's are the comfiest golf shoe I've ever worn & can't wait to start wearing them again.

They look great alright. Hopefully the next few weeks will bring some dry weather. I might invest in a pair for the summer. Wellies were the order of the day the last while. I've seen you post on other threads. Just wondering how is Kilkenny since it reopened is there much change ? Thanks for the advice on the shoes.

It's only back open today so am due to play in medal on Sunday. Some key trees down. They began the planting of 114 new trees this week. I really hope the feel of the course is not changed too much as it is a great course.
Luckily none of the greens were affected as they are in superb condition, still very fast throughout the wet winter we've had.

i have a pair of ecco gore tex golf shoes below. I find them great shoes I have worn them all through the winter and always
ended up with dry feet, but cant see them available online anywhere anymore or any ecco gore tex shoes for that matter.

All the happier that i picked up a second pair a few months ago when they were on sale. Have not worn them yet, keeping
them till i wear out the current pair.
