Ok so these are my goals for the actual Junior Cert

    English (H)=C

    Science (H)=C

    Metalwork (H)=C

    Business Studies(H)=C or D

    Geography(H)=D

    Religion(H)=C

    CSPE(Common Level)=C

    Art (O)=C

    Irish(O)=C

    History(O)=C

    Maths(O)=C or D

I finished my mocks about 3 weeks ago and so far ive gotting these back WITH ABSOLUTELY NO STUDY (Which isnt really a good thing)

    Irish (O)=B 78%
    Maths (O)=C 58%
    Religion (H)=D 49%
Art (O)=D 51% I was just examined on object and human drawing
    History (O)= D 46%
    Science (H)= F 18%

So how much do you think I could improve on my grades between now and June if I actually start studying haha?

Wondering why you are doing OL Art and History, to be honest. They are both subjects you could get at least a D in HL at. It's always better to do as many subjects as possible at HL.

Of course you can improve. Remember in many JC subjects over 70% of the people doing the exam get an A or B at HL.

    Don't leave out questions.
    Listen in class.
Ask your teachers to explain things you don't understand.

It depends on how serious you want to take it. If you study for hours upon end then there is the potential to get excellent marks. If by "start studying" you mean half an hour here, 10 minutes there, then you can't expect anything exceptional come September.
Like Spurious said, answer everything, and ask the teacher whatever you don't understand. Knuckle down, and get yourself the grades that you would be proud to put your name to!

If you put your mind down to it you could get all As and Bs. In my class a lot of people are getting Cs which could be easily brought to As and Bs but they just say they couldn`t be bothered. The work is easy enough if you keep reading over things and practicing exam questions. You`d be surprised at the amount of marks you can get in the exam for just writing long answers. For religion, just fill the lines. Religion can easily be brought to an A if you fill the lines given. I was marked down 12 marks in the essay because I didnt fill 12 lines. So it just shows if you put in the effort to write plenty in the exams, it can bring you up a grade. If you do your homework properly from now until June you will have loads of revision done as you will be getting revision for homework.

    heres some advice

English = for your studied drama + novel you need to study the key theme, characters ( at least 3) and the key scene (make out around 12 points on each and a quote to back up your point). For the poetry know around 4 poems (your favourite,a war poem , a love poem etc) and be able to elaborate on the imagery, themes, techniques used by the poet and why you liked it (include quotes!). Practice plenty comprehensions, unseen poetry, unseen drama, media studies etc and check out the marking schemes for guidelines.

Science = its a very broad subject, firstly know your all different equations and formulas and your labelled diagrams. Then learn your definitions, after that go into detail into the chapters, in the exam they never want long answers, they want clear-precise points only.

Geography = practise your maps + photographs (easy questions, comes up every year), know rocks very well as it comes up every year and know your river and sea landforms of erosion + deposition, areas of high + low population density are also a very popular questions

Religion(H)= learn the celebration of faith + question of faith (easy to learn, common sense) then know your world religion very well as the questions are repetitive

    hope that helps
