    Hello folks,

A very generous and handsome and or pretty anonymous donor / AH mod mugging victim has donated / been relieved of a number of tickets for Ireland's upcoming struggle with the Italians.
Match is TOMORROW Saturday 8th March in the Aviva stadium, so make sure you're able to travel.

They asked us if it was possible to use after hours to raffle the tickets with the proceeds going to charity.

    http://www.mycharity.ie/event/ireland_italy_rugby_ticket_raffle/

IMPORTANT TO NOTE! Donate "anonymously" but include your username in the message please - Avoid showing your real name and username!

Donations will be accepted up until 10pm. The draw will be completed at 10.30. It will be video'd and stuck on youtube so there is no nonsense. Each raffle entry will cost a fiver. For multiple entries put in multiples of a fiver.

You can donate more than a fiver if you want. We're not going to refuse the extra cash.

Donate the fiver on the mycharity page and make flipping sure you include your boards username in the "message" field when doing so.

There are 3 tickets, all seated beside each other.

All donations go to "Chernobyl Children International".

Anything else I forgot? I don't think so.
    Right. Off to the pub.

    WINNER DRAW!!!!!

Great competition and for a great cause!
Might be worth throwing it over to the Rugby forum to ensure maximum impact?

Look at these bad boys. Somebody must have got the protractor out to so delicately place them. The light catching them. It's beautiful. Your chance to hold these in your hands for only a fiver?

Two thirds of the raffle tickets were bought by "Rugby is for wimpz". I wonder what he'll do with the match tickets if he wins :)

He's not gonna win. Donated completely anonymously. Did a search for his username to see if it was genuinely anonymous and it turns out it was. Unreal. Kudos to this guy/girl.

Big thanks to the donor, fair play, lovely gesture when so many would have probably sold them.

Did the €500 donor get to put their name in a hundred teams? :p
Wonderful to see such generosity from all.

Welldone Justsomebloke, at least we know for sure they went to a rugby man :D you'll have a blast.

Ticket holder here - I haven't heard back from justsomebloke. Does anyone have contact details for him? We're not a million miles away from kick off.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 35,945 Mod ✭✭✭✭dr.bollocko

Maybe PM his co-mods in Rugby might be an option....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8 Joseph Stalling

OK.... best effort has been made to get in touch with the winner (including phone calls).

I'll give him until 1. Failing that tickets go to whoever posts first here, donated yesterday, can go and can meet me very soon. I have a bored child in the car.

Preference for meeting on the north side. I'd go as far as town.
