Really not sure if this is the correct thread but sure here goes. If a mod knows of a better one please move.

I have to go to Limerick on Saturday but unfortunately my own car doesn't have the gear box to make it. I have a car ordered for the morning with Enterprise rent a car and I'm just wondering what do I need as their office is closed now. I don't have a credit card so have to use a Visa Debit card from what I understand I need a bank statement, payslip and utility bill (Meteor?).

What do I need my bank statement for? do I need to have a certain amount of cash in the account? I'm in a position where I can give them a cash deposit but the bank account is tapped out. I can deposit money into the account for tomorrow if they need the deposit (how much is it?) by card.

Cheers in advance, if anymore info is needed please let me know.

    Hi there,

I am not familiar with this, however:

~ What details were provided to you in the confirmation e-mail with reference number?
~ I assume the statement is just proof of your address provided by you on making the booking?!
~ Other booking sites don't state a credit as opposed to debit card but a credit card would be insured in event details are used without permission by another, other than yourself

~ You know you can lodge the monies into the account if needs be, so hold tough and make contact when they re-open and see what they suggest or require of you re:debit card & min amount of monies to be held within.

    Hope that's of some help,
    kerry4sam

Ya I lodged the money into my current account, was just a pain. Because I used my debit card they wanted; Utility bill, bank statement and payslip. I didn't have a current bank statement so had to go to the bank and beg for a letter confirming my address, literally beg, and prin out and e statement. managed to find a paysil that was 4 days inside the 90 day period and the letter from UPC was not good enough so I had to go and register on myupc and print out a bill, which wasn't good enough cause it was the current one which was still due so had to go again and print off the previous paid bill. mare.
