HPI Check

    Hi

I just ran a check on a UK car and it comes up showing no previous owners? Can anyone explain this? Garage tells me there is 1 previous owner.

The garage also sent me their HPI sheet and when I looked on it there has also been 9 previous searches done on this car.

Anyone else think this is a bit odd?

You can give HPI a call and they'll talk you through their findings - they're actually pretty helpful.

I think I came across this before with a UK car and it was because the owner transferred their private plate to the car when they bought it new. As Anan said give HPI a call and they will shed more light on their report.

thanks all. The dealer just replied to me saying that it did not show previous owner as the car is still in the owners name and when I buy it they then become the previous owner and I will be the current.

I have not heard of this before. Suppose it could make sense.
