    Hi
Im in my house a couple of years and the old paint job on my gable end has been destroyed by the rain. It has peeled and ran off the wall. What would cause that?

So I need to paint it now. I was going to scrape or hose the remaining paint of.

Do I need to apply an undercoat too? Its a sand and cement wall. Thanks

Power wash it all down. And give it all a coat of stabilizing primer. Then give it two coats of exterior emulsions!

Thanks folks. I don't know what the wall was painted with previously but after it rains I can see lots of paint chips etc on the ground. It looks terrible.
