UPC 120MB +30GB cap vs UPC 50 MB uncapped

According to bonkers.ie I have the option of availing of UPC's 120MB broadband in my area. They also offer 50MB broadband for the exact same price.

A 30 GB cap on a 120MB connection seems ridiculously small so presumably it makes more sense to go for the 50MB option given it's very likely we'll go over the 30GB cap?

Or do UPC rigorously enforce their caps?

Also, is it possible to get UPC broadband without the phone option at a lower price?

Don't know if it is still the case, but UPC used to actually be cheaper when you have the phone option as they have an additional charge when you only get a single product, which exceeds the price of getting the phone package. So it would be worth having even if you don't physically connect a phone.

The 30Gb is ridiculously small. UPC used to enforce their caps when you go over them by a certain margin, bumping you up to a larger package. I'd imagine that is the point of this 120Mb/s 30Gb package, most users will exceed it and end up on a more expensive package. Even that, I'd expect them to actually enforce it.

If you exceed the 30gb cap, you'll go from €37 to €44.
Both those options include the phone. You can't get 50mb on its own and the limited 120mb works out way more expensive without the phone.

Don't bother with limited unless you're confident you won't exceed 30GB.

Ah, I see UPC also offer an uncapped 120MB option which, after 6 months @ €25p.m. jumps to €44 p.m. versus €37 p.m. for the capped version.
Seems like a no brainer to pay the extra €7 p.m. :D
