Just after been playing Dayz for about 40 minutes and took a glance at HWMonitor and saw that the temperature on one of the motherboard sensors was at 90'C, is this excessive? It's hard to find out where the sensor is due to crappy stock Dell motherboard

I'd imagine it's the Northbridge or cpu VRM's. Quite hot but not dangerous. As long as it's not causing crashing it's not an issue. You could put an internal fan inside blowing over the northbridge and VRM's to reduce it.

I used to have to put one on the back of my graphics card blowing upwards to reduce the northbridge temp on an old mobo I had.

unfortunately northbridge coolers are much more form then function these days, so prob pretty common!
