    Seem like there's an Irish rider. Don't mean to knock their admirable efforts but some seem a little unprepared for an estimated 225k cycle per day. Not a mudguard in sight and one of them had to hoof it a few miles after no less than three punctures.

    How much does this cost the riders, in terms of cost of a place to stay, repairs, food, spares etc etc
