Cheap Steam Games

Probably a question that the regulars are sick of answer at this stage, but here goes:

PC gaming for just over a year now, and i've bought all my games through bundle sales and steam itself. Haven't branched out beyond that, but i do want to get Arkham Origins, and i'm not willing to fork out €40 through Steam for it.

So i Googled, and found this site, which is a price comparison and linking site with crazy reduced prices.

Now, i know there's a whole can of worms with Russian keys, but some of the sites i've clicked into claim to be region free, or say nothing about the region at all.

Is it a case of take a chance? I really only want a legit copy that won't get me (or my account) into trouble with Steam or anyone else.

Edit: As far as i can tell, this key seems 100% legit. And it's nearly €30 cheaper!

Depending on the game, some games from other regions won't activate on your steam client without use of a proxy so it's necessarily a big problem if it's not region free. Smaller site keys are generally fine but there's obviously some element of risk with them.

If you wait it'll cycle through sales in the bigger outlets, it was €12 on Amazon before which is what I usually do to avoid dealing with smaller sites but anytime I have it's gone fine.

I got a Russian key for under €20 the week before it was released. Have had no problem with it. Steam only really make an issue of using a VPN if you're doing it to access a different steam geographical location to get something cheaper. They haven't in the past punished people for activating keys from other countries.

Just took a chance and it worked. €12 for Origins is good in my book, and looking at the Fast2Play site, there's some serious offers going on there!

    Cheers for the advice folks!

I have bought off of fast2play before with no problems
allkeyshop generally finds the cheapest out there but I also keep an eye on www.dlcompare.com as well

It worked fine for me anyway, saved me ~€30! I shall be using them again!

I've never used any of those websites, but if I want a steam game cheaper I just shop around on sites like Gamefly and GMG, and just choose the cheaper one. Tends to work quite well for me

There's usually a Steam sale at Easter?
