No cold water in bath tap

Ok! So, we had a pump installed in our upstairs bath now, the plumber made a mistake and he distributed the hot water throughout the taps in both bathrooms (our house plumbing is very strange).
The cold water started the pump and it was ok the hot water did not start the pump. Now the mistake was rectified but the hot water starts the pump but the cold water doesn't.

He tested the flow of cold water through the pump (by removing the pipe connected from the pump to the tap) and it was very bad so he has told me there might be a blockage in the pump.

He left and I have contacted a pump tech, but now, since he has left there is no cold water at all coming through the taps.

I remain unconvinced that a blockage is the problem so I thought I'd try and get some advice here.
