Best jobs website(s) for IT jobs in Ireland?

What do people reckon are the best website(s) for IT jobs in Ireland? In particular, is any one of them best for aggregating all the jobs listed on multiple sites and showing them in one place?

I know we have various sites, for example the following.
    irishjobs.ie
    recruitireland.com
    jobs.ie
    monster.ie
    indeed.ie

I don't want to set up automated jobs alert emails on all of these and then be bombarded with emails repeating the same jobs listed in multiple places. I already have trouble keeping up with the emails I receive from just two or three sites, and don't want to end up not being able to see the wood for the trees. I especially don't want to miss the best jobs by not getting results from the sites with the best/most recent vacancies.

Ideally I would want to set up automated jobs alert emails on just the one best site that aggregates results from all the main sites.

All helpful opinions and recommendations appreciated!

(Apologies if this has already been asked recently but I did do a quick search and couldn't find any similar questions or answers.)

    The main aggregation websites are:

    Dole.ie
    Indeed.ie
    Simplyhired.ie
    Jobrapido.ie

Thanks Mr. I've set up a quick email alert on both indeed.ie and simplyhired.ie and I'll see how the results compare. Might add jobrapido at some point later.

However, dole.ie doesn't seem to have any email alert facility, unfortunately. Seems like quite a significant omission, unless they're depending on people visiting their site repeatedly (perhaps for ad revenue) which I wouldn't want to have to do.

IrishJobs.ie and Jobs.ie are the 2 biggest players in the Irish market. They do not allow indeed to scrape their content so you are missing out on most jobs

Probably because it was a very strange thing to say and makes no sense in this context

Indeed.ie is the best aggregation site,& of the jobs-board themselves Irish Jobs is best, though LinkedIn's jobs section can have roles that are not advertised elsewhere FYI

Best of luck with your search

yes it does. There are no good sites out there in my opinion for tech jobs, but there's an excellent community out there. there's talks and meetups every night (so much so they constantly clash). go to these, cut out the bull**** recruiters and trawling through catchment job specs and go right to the source.

ever hear of http://dubstarts.com/ it's on tonight in dublin and tons of companies hiring at it and good ones too.

job fairs, where they tell you about the jobs they've got posted online and even tell you to apply for them there!

Feck. Missed it :( Do they do regular events? Would like to become aware of said community. Can you recommend anywhere to start looking for said talks and meetups?

The Jobs Expo in Croke Park should have been called the Canadian Jobs Expo :pac: and any other job fairs that I've heard about were generally small "fairs" made up by recruitment companies selling off it's own wares tbh.

Keep an eye on the Engine Yard event calendar. It has meetups pretty much twice a week:

dubstarts is quarterly (maybe only every 6 months either).

as feylya said, the EY event calendar is good also meetup.com and @PubstandardsDub is every second tuesday (probably one of the bigger meetups (without the talks etc.)).

Second Thursday of every month, rather ;)

For the record ItsHappeningHere.ie shows jobs from Irish software companies alone, and do not appear on aggregation site so one worth keeping an eye on.

Also not all recruiters are buls******rs btw the way, there are thoroughly decent ones out there no unfair to tarnish them all in that light IMHO

hard not to when you're contacted 4-5 times a week with pitches that go like this:
    hi <firstname>,

I have this super awesome company on my books looking for someone to fill role x.

    ...
    ...
    ...

    thanks,
    recruiter name.

recruiters need to learn how to grab attention, mention the name of the super awesome company, and mention a pay scale, then I'll actually be a bit more likely not to just stone wall you!

for an example of how **** some recruiters are, we've gotten two calls in the office from them looking to pitch their services.

    1. offered us a PHP developer, we develop iOS/Android/Windows Phone apps.
    2. another rang and asked to speak to one of our developers.

where is their value that justifies the fees that they charge?
