PS2 Cable

What's the best cable to get for the ps2 in terms of picture quality to hook up to flat screen TV (led).

Also can anyone remind me how the ps3 handles screen ratios. Is it 4:3 as default with some games supporting wide screen?
What's the best way to handle this to get the best non squashed image?

A component cable will get you the best picture quality on the PS2 although a RGB Scart cable will get you the same. There's only a handful of games that support 480p on PS2.

I was using mine via an onkyo av amp to a 50" pioneer led.
my god it was ****.
hooked it up to the blast city and its nice



just using controllers tho

It most certainly is.
I just didnt have the PS2 on RGB
im going to make a finger board to get the controls working better.
L1 is mapped to one of the buttons and its stuck all the time.
So remap them too if I can.

That one seems sold out now, but there should be loads of correctly wired RGB scarts up there....... just make sure it is a RGB scart and not just a regular scart.

Forgot to mention PS1 and PS3 RGB cables will work. Not sure what's a good brand.

That's the one I have. Has the added bonus of a guncon input and has rca for audio if you wanted to connect to an amp.

It also has a switch to prevent the green screen that comes up when playing DVD video through RGB
