    Afternoon all,
I have just finished tiling my bathroom and need to hang a shower door. The screw supplied with the door are quite long. Can I use a. Heavy duty bonding glue to hold the door to the tiled wall or should I drill and use the screws provided. I only suggest glueing as the tiles were quite thin. Also when drilling with a tile bit do you only drill past the tile depth then switch to a regular bit to get the depth? Also if switching to a regular bit can you then you it on hammer action or will the vibration wreck the tile.
    Cheers for any help lads

Ok so use the bit all the way and use the screws provided do not use glue when you get past the tile you can use the hammer action on the blockwork

When using hammer action you probably want to use a smaller bit than you used on the tile, otherwise it will likely crack it due to jumping around inside it.

that's what I was thinking. Might drill slightly bigger with tile bit then use a smaller masonry bit on hammer action
