Mount Shamsan started off at 9-4 in this race, acting up a bit before hand and drifted to 7-2. Then he just wasnt wanting to take any part and was clear he wouldn't go into stalls, he went back in to 5-2 like a shot, withdrawn, down to 7 runners. Bookies pullin a stroke. Double whammy, 30p deduction, down to 2 places. It was clear even if the horse went in its chance had dimished, so the reduction in price was very suspect, even Racing UK guys said it in a round about way.

Not the first time this has happened

I remember Pandorama being withdrawn from the 2.5m race (same card as the 3m JN Wines race that Kauto Start won) at Down Royal in 2010. Had backed The Nightingale. Was absolutely stunned with his price of 6/4 for the purposes of the R4. He was much bigger all of 120 seconds before when I stood in the ring before going to watch the race

The bookies should be made show exactly what bets they laid in the last 3 minutes up to the off because no one track side would have backed it. Some of the big chains obviously forced it's price in to save them a fortune in the shops. I've been to kempton six bookies if I recall correctly betting on a standard card and one of those is william hill. £100 can cause a price to contract there. Disgraceful.
