My Dad is starting to write his speech for my sisters wedding and we are all trying to help out. We have been searching cider space for help but a lot of the speeches are for young couples 'starting out' together etc.

Sis and her fiance are in their late 40's and have been living together for a few years so Dad is getting a bit muddled. Any suggestions on where to look for 'older couple' speeches. She will kill me if she sees this! :D

Don't copy a speech or crib a few lines. It'll sound.insincere. Just say a few nice words about her as a chils, how she's turned out to be a brilliant daughter and wish the happy couple years of.joy etc etc.

Yep. Just keep it short, sweet and simple.
    Can't go wrong.

The best speech is a short, sincere one...remind him of that and he cant go wrong !!

Absolutely agree. Just jot down first the few points that he wants to make, e.g wishing them every happiness, etc, so that he is happy that he hadn't forgotten anything. Then put the points into a few sincere sentences, and it will be perfect.
