    Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a bike, nothing top of the range just something for fitness or maybe a few charity cycles...

I went to the edge bike shop and was given the following 3 to suit my criteria:

    Lapierre Anducio 200
    Trek Lexa
    Scott Contessa Speedster 45

Anyone have any advice? I'm only looking to spend in the region of 700-800.

    Hi,
I would think nobody has replied just yet as there is so many options, generally it comes down to money and personal taste. Personally i would suggest buying from a local shop as it's so much easier to find 'the one', especially as your starting out.

When in the country are you?
I've just recently joined Team 905 cycle club...

    Hi There,

Thanks for the reply. I went to my local shop and ordered the Scott model, just waiting now for the bike to work scheme to go through before I can collect it!

Cork, I know there are a few clubs around, just need to build up some confidence in my cycling before I join :)

Minidee there is beginner groups in most clubs, all about getting people familiar to cycling in a group. Many clubs will go at a pace and distance totally suitable to the newbie, all been there.
