I don't think I've ever seen a contestant who didn't get tossed. Some of them aren't even given a chance to talk for long. Why would anybody want their only claim to fame to be humiliation. It's amazing the amount of fools who want to get on this chair though. I know most people would argue that it's only joke, but yet I think it gives Graham too much power.

I was in the audience of the Graham Norton show a few years ago, my friend volunteered to do the red chair and we all got better seats at the front. She wasn't picked to speak though.

Jeez, lighten up. The people on the red chair aren't contestants, they are just telling their stories for the craic - a case of "ha look I got on the telly for no reason other than to tell a silly story to a bunch of famous people". Also, there have been plenty of times where Graham hasn't been the one to pull the lever as one of the celebrities on the couch takes over.
