You know what I tend to agree with him. What is it with people nowadays and their constant need to not relax and enjoy life. They feel they have to comment on what they are seeing constantly to other people who half the time are complete strangers or have no interest in what is being said or seen.

Well, I kind of think a forum is different. I mean when you are out and about or even on holiday and some people need to be in contact with the outside world constantly. Its like a new phenomenon. I suppose even forums are a waste of time.

I can vouch for that. Met Paul Merton offstage after a gig in the comedy store in London once, also a complete gentleman. Only mentioned this as both can appear smug onstage.

Stewart Lee and Morresy. A double oxymoron.

    Well done Sir.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard that in real life, away from the TV cameras, Brendan O'Carroll is quite funny.

Depends on who you heard it from. Was it his mother by any chance?

Can't recall. Maybe they meant "funny peculiar".

I wrote this before on boards, but a long time ago, long before Mrs Brown, I was with my family on holiday in Wexford when we bumped in to Mr O Carroll on the street in Wexford town. This was the time when he used to have that rats tale hanging down his back.

He agreed to stand for photos with us and came across a perfect gentleman. He was in good spirits but can't say he was particularly funny but why would he be in a situation like that.

I actually met Paul Merton after that same gig and he absolutely tore you asunder.
