PS4 App connection porblems

When I try to remotely connect to my ps4 I'm unable to because I have to select who my wired headset is for and who my Dualshock is for, even though I only have one profile. Sure that sort of defeats the whole idea of being able to remotely connect doesn't it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around this?
