First Hunter Trials

Hey :) I'm doing my first hunter trials next weekend 9th March (Donabate Hunter Trials) in a pair with my friend. I've never done a hunter trial before, but I've done plenty of x country and a little bit of hunting, so I was wondering if there's anything I should know before the competition?
Also, around what height would novice and open be? We're trying to decide which height to jump, but we don't know an awful lot about it :)
    Thanks!

donabate is a grand course but it has sharp turns into some of the jumps, so if your steering wasn't 100% I'd try novice first. The angles at some of the jumps in open can be tricky. donabate also has a wire fence after a bank which seems to catch a few horses out each time. not sure if it will be in this one but its been at all the others.
