Is there any truth in the advice that protein has to be administered all through the day for weightlifting or is it just a broscience method of selling whey?
Could I eat a large chicken for breakfast and not worry about protein for the rest of the day?
I heard before your body can only take in a certain amount by the hour and the rest turns to carbs or something but with all the misinformation you hear I dont know whats true anymore.
I thought I wasnt lacking in food I was a hardgainer at one stage. Eating feck all and cursing genetics.
    Any advice greatly appreciated.

there is no truth in it, but if you are training then it is best practice to try to have a protein source with every meal as this will make it more likely that you hit your macros for daily protein intake.

a lot of people will time carbohydrate intake around their workout, carbs pre workout to fuel , post workout to replenish.

try to get as much protein as you can from whole foods, relying on protein supplements as just that - supplements to your diet.

if you do consume protein shakes then post workout is best as they are fast digesting. take a slower digesting protein source as your last meal of the day.
