Have a good bit of electric fencing on hedges that need to be sprayed in the spring ,used to do a good bit of it in the evenings with the knapsack but with less time and a poor back I am going to get somebody in to do it , have 2 options one fella has a quad sprayer and another has a fitting on the loader from a rear tractor sprayer (800 litre I think ) ground would be dry (when ever that will be ) what should I expect to be charged for either of these and which would ye think would be the better option and also what would the best spray to use for this job mainly grass and briars

A selective herbicide. You don't want to burn off the grass.

Grazon 90is a good spray but expensive.
    Scrub Clear is another one
