    Gentlemen,

I'm going to do a build for general work and gaming. I'm not pushed on having the best of everything, just enough to get me a foundation which I can upgrade over time.

I wanna keep it under €700 to begin with.

I have opticals and hdds. Don't need Windows or any fancy extras. Currently have a 22" LG monitor with only vga input (will also upgrade in future). I have a case (USB 2.0), which I'm willing to put up with until I can get a decent one, but I'm happy to spend a few bob on a low-end case also, to keep me going. (preferably large & sleak/plain)

Here's what I've put together so far, would love any input/guidance you can give.

    Total: €643.15

    Cheers lads

    Thank you sir!

In terms of the board, that's a good choice?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,767 ✭✭✭SterlingArcher

Nothing wrong with the board at all. Is a good budget board. If you want you can go Asus(for higher quality) for 69

    so just 14 euro more.

For cases you could look at corsair 200r 50 euro.

You could always knock another 70 euro off going for an r9 270 approx 150 euro. If you need to get get budget down more.

me personally would keep gtx 760.

Nice one! Appreciate the help. I'm looking through geizhals now, should I be sticking to hwvs or are there others you guys generally use?

Generally only use hwvs. So might be best to stick with them.

You can always get a nice fractal design r4 case 82 euro. And still be at 700ish

But the corsair 200r is a good case at 50.
And the newer corsair 300r at 61 euro. Again another great case for the price. plenty of people to vouch for them cases.

Great! I think with the lower price you've helped me find I can definitely go for a decent case.

Looking at boards, a lot seem out of stock, how's this guy?

Just opened my old machine and in it I have the jeantech jn120f-600ap12v2 power supply. Anyone know if that's worth hanging onto? it's modular...

Alright lads, here's what I've got.

Had to go for a case. It killed me to pick one but I got there in the end. I like the look and it seems like it's got decent innards. I would have preferred to go with the H440, but HWVS doesn't have it.

I've left a power supply out as well, hoping that the Jeantech from my old machine will work okay. Does anyone know?

What do you think about the below? Will everything work together?

    Cheers :)

Haha hum. Jentech. I wouldn't. Sounds like the name of the evil corporation in a film, you know the one that is trying to murder people and clone their nuts so the can break em. Or melt someones pc components.

Drop the case to 200 or 300r and get the decent psu ;p besides that case costs same as a nanoxia deep silence 1. Which should be your first choice at that price range.

Overclokers.uk have the h440. Not seen it about much.
