    Hi folks,

Looking for some feedback. I'm out of contract at the end of march for my sky broadband. I have arranged another supplier to take over from the end date. Once out of contract can I cancel immediately or is there a notice period required? I'm afraid if I give them notice now they could unplug me before the new service kicks in and if be without TV/phone/broadband for an extended period.

I can't see anything in the blurb for cancellation out of agreed contract.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mutt.

Give them the 30 days notice from your contract end date to cancel and you should be alright

If you've transferred by UAN number to another provider you can't be charged a for a notice period, only what's been used. So if Sky give you part of the month and the new supplier part of the month sky can only make a partial charge.

There is a comreg decision on point, I may or may not get round to digging it out. :P

If you are transferring by UAN number do not make contact yourself to the old supplier unless you've been told you have to. If the line is cancelled it's a bloody nightmare getting them back for anyone other than Eircom.
