Best MTB maintenance/custom building in cork??

I'm a heavier than average rider and I'm planning to buy a tough set of Mavic Rims and some heavy duty tyres and tubes from EvansCycles for my Trek 3900. Obviously tyres and tubes are a doddle to fit but when it comes to the rims... being a noob I'm not willing to chance my arm with the fine art of wheel building!!

Can anyone recommend a good bike shop in Cork or Dublin (preferably Cork) who would be good for fitting my noble steed with these rims?

    Thanks

Are you planning on buying hubs also?

I hadn't considered it as I presumed the ones that came on my bike would be transferrable and sufficient. They are Formula Dc20 on front and Dc22 on rear. Should I be looking at buying a new set of hubs also? Or is it a case of the supplier being able to ship it assembled for me if I go for hubs etc too?

Not worth it, would be costly enough for not much benefit..

You'd be better off buying a set of ready made wheels: LINK

Thanks for the suggestion and link... I'll have a look and see what their toughest setup is and most likely go for it! much appreciated.

There are two lovely wheelsets on madmtb site.

One are crossrides with tires for 120.

Great deal if you get for 100

There's a Clydesdale section on the forum on mtbr.com on which I'm sure this & similar topics have been discussed many times.

Incidentally personally I would'nt consider having wheels built for me but would always do it myself if possible.
Much easier than it may at first appear (enjoyable & almost therapeutic too), loads of information on youtube & Sheldon Brown and you can always bring the near finished laced wheels into a decent shop for final straightening and/or dishing.
