So I have an old hp Compaq 600 pro sff PC.
Its running windows xp has 4gb of ram and a pentium dual-core E5400 (@2.7GHz).
The little fellow uses it for gaming which consists of minecraft and mount & blade.
At the moment its running on the integrated graphics but its pretty bad.
The PSU is like 200w (probably closer to 160 on the 12v rail) so any old card i tried to add needed more power (a GeForce 7300 LE  )
    i see on adverts a guy selling a cx500m psu and an r7 250 2gb gpu.
Would these 2 be a worth while uprade?
is the CPU going to be a bottle neck?
    my screen is 1440x900 @60Hz although I have a 720p monitor also.
    Any help is much appreciated

Just seen it not a bad deal at all.

Get something like a 7750 Low Profile. You said you have the SFF PC so a full size card won't fit and options are limited. Should be fine on the stock
    PSU as well.

A 750Ti paired with an old E5400 would be quite mad.

I cut the case so it could take a full height card. The 7300le was full height. Dont no if that opens more options.

Fair enough, but I don't actually think it does much. When such an old CPU like an E5400, there's only so far you can go without bottlenecking a card.

Wouldn't get anything above this really, €72 delivered.

There's no point getting a card that requires a new psu as your processor just isn't up to the job anyway and you'd be wasting money. That R7 250 will be a massive increase over the onboard graphics and anything that runs decently on an E5400 will run pretty well on the 250 as well.

I would imagine that 7300LE was faulty because a 200w psu is loads for that card, would've been pointless anyway as the 7300LE is worse than your onboard video, not far off a decade old! :P
