    Anyone been & what shots did you get before going?

    I've booked a course of rabies, as the disease still hasn't been eradicated there...

    A course of rabies shots, to prevent anything unpleasant, should I be unfortunate enough to be bitten or licked by a rabid animal. Between 2008 and 2011 124 people in Bali died of the disease.

    Hepatitis A

    Recommended for all travelers

    Typhoid

    For travelers who may eat or drink outside major restaurants and hotels

    Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)

    Two doses recommended for all travelers born after 1956, if not previously given

    Tetanus-diphtheria

    Revaccination recommended every 10 years

    go to your GP or a travel medical centre such as tmb and they'll recommend a course of shots/medicines that are required or optional based on your trip itinerary.
