Anyone ever do hiking the Via Alpina?

Looking at doing it from the French-Italian border down to the Mediterranean, looks lovely and we're fit but not exactly experienced hikers so it seems suitable!

I've done most of the Purple trail in Bavaria/Tyrol region.. Fantastic trails, well signposted & easy to follow. Some very tough walking sections though, extremely steep with some Kletterstieg/Via Ferrata sections..

I'm not being smart, but the Italian/French Border runs from the Mediterranean up to Mt Dolent, near Chamonix.

Where are ye thinking of starting along the border?

Actually decided on the Tour du Mont Blanc instead-much more doable and looks amazing!

    Thanks for the replies :)
