    Hi.

I applied for my learner driving permit licence at 30 December. Its nearly 2 month waiting,4 phone calls and nothing sorted from NDLS City west office.

Last time when I rang I asked for manager, they didn't wanted to satisfy my request.

Can somebody advise me what to do in this situation.Wait one more week?

All my friends get their full licences within 3-4 weeks, except me.

I'm very disappointed with all this and I start loosing hope.

    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards.

Just wait one more week before contacting again. It can be frustrating but wait just one more week. They have signs up in some offices stating waiting times of upto 8weeks so that would be your 2-month marker.

Just factor in the NewYears break and week-ends that have passed since you applied. They don't count when they say upto 8-weeks wait.

Don't loose hope. It will arrive, just need to wait a lickle bit longer,

Yeah, try not to lose hope. I think they're catching up on the backlog now so it'll be there any day :)

I've been waiting since Nov 15th. (Applied in the Limerick centre) Anytime I rang I was assured there was no hold up and that it was ready for printing, already posted etc. Finally I made a complaint to the RSA and have since been advised that it was produced & posted yesterday.

Hopefully I should have it tomorrow but the inconsistencies in the delays between different centres have been pretty frustrating.

Hi,I just wondering, did you get your licence?

I followed your advice and made complaint to the RSA,but I still waiting for their response.

Finally got it on Fri 28th Feb. IIRC it took about 2 weeks for me to hear back from the RSA to say it had been resolved. Fingers crossed they can get it sorted for you.

I don't know what system they use because I received my licence within a week and a half. Although that was my renewal to my 2nd learner....maybe it's a different process. =|

I just received mine exactly a week after applying... was I lucky or did they speed things up?

    Update:

I finally get response to my complaint(immediately when I posted to RSA facebook page)Before facebook I filled their complaint form and after I received reference number there was 10 days wait, off course nothing happened after 10 business days and that's why I wrote very angry message to their Facebook page(RSA)

    Then I got this email.

"There has been a system error in relation to your application. We have instructed the licencing processing unit to contact you with regard to explaining and rectifying this. We have instructed them also to provide you with a refund of your application fee. I do apologise again for the inconvenience you have suffered and do please contact me should you have any further queries or difficulties."

Somebody rang me in same day and explained situation finally, they LOST my data, and I need to send lot of forms, bills and proofs to their given postal address. And soon as they will get all my info, they promised to post my licence without delay.

I will see how it goes,I didn't trust them at all.

Fair play to you for being so tenacious on this. Losing your paperwork is one thing, it happens. It sucks when it happens, but it happens. But there is no excuse whatsoever, for them to take this long to figure out that it happened. I hope that they are going to let you keep your money and not make you reapply & pay all over again.
