Yeah looking forward to it alright. I've heard that outside of San Antoni the island is much different & you can have a nice quiet holiday if you want. I'd like a mixture, don't want to be in a very noisey part.

    What's no use?

Personally I think just a basic hotel room is fine, you spend most of the holiday out so all it is is somewhere to rest your head. Unless you're looking to go all out I suppose.

Entry into the main clubs and drinks inside is expensive but food and stuff wasn't overly expensive from what I remember. We made sure we had a fridge in the room so we got some fruit/individually wrapped croissant things and drinks in lidl for breakfasts and snacks so we weren't wasting money.

Enjoy it, its a beautiful place, really jealous :o

Hi All, Just wondering what ye did?
Looking to go for a week in August...would like to be away from the noisey areas but close enough that we're not spending a fortune on taxis...

    Thanks
    SS

Taxi's are a saviour there really.
The Disco Bus's bring you to the clubs and are great craic tbh, always a positive atmosphere there and run very very regularly. Around 3quid one way if i remember correctly.
Although the island is small, all taxi journeys seem to take 25 mins!

As far the original question, I have done the holiday apartment type hotels a few times in San Antonio. This year, we are going for the Villa in Ibiza town. Should be quieter, but closer to the big clubs.

    Hey

Going to Ibiza for 5 days in the end of June and looking for accommodation. We are mainly going for clubbing and were looking at Ibiza Rocks. Has anyone stayed here?

Reviews on trip advisor seem to be fairly positive.

    Thanks!

    Yeah I stayed there once.

Quiet safe as you need your wristband/keycard to get into the hotel and around there. Good security. You put money onto your keycard and that is used to buy food/drink throughout, so there is no cash around by the pool etc.

Music always around the pool so good craic, and you have your 2 events minimum per week at night too.

Expensive but worth it. Nice rooms with air con! Air con is vital!

Beware, there may be a travel tax introduced for visiting the Balearic islands after July 1

A family as in family with young kids? Maybe try Ibiza town side, or even a Villa out in the countryside. AirBnb has loads of Villas.

Just stay away from San An & likewise places if you have kids I would say.

Sirenis seaview in port des torrent is really good.
It's all inclusive resort that has a waterpark in it and loads for kids to do.

    Hello!

What kind of activities would you recommend (going with children)?

One activity that is in San Antonio that I think is quite cool is the Ocean Mania.

Although I am 26 and many my age/older/younger do go on it, I think it can be enjoyed by all ages. You do have to swim out to it though, so not sure if very young children would be suited, unless there is a certain time that kids can go at or something. They have a facebook too so maybe contact them?
