I'm thinking of commuting from Portlaoise to Barrow Street daily.
Will be getting the train to Heuston. What is the quickest/easiest way to get from Heuston Station to Barrow Street?

    Thanks!

You can get to the Luas to the O'Connell Street area and walk, or stay on as far a Connolly Station and get the dart to Grand Canal Dock station which is on Barrow Street.

From experience the least amount of transfers the better. Also, Connolly Dart platforms are a fair walk from Busarus or Connolly Luas stops.

I'd recommend Luas from Hueston to Mayor Street stop (in IFSC) then walk across the new bridge to Barrow Street.

1.5k or 15 min brisk walk.

Google Maps has the stops, walking routes and even Luas times now.

    You could use Dublin bike.

For commuting during rush hour - a person off the train from Portlaoise? You must be joking!

The Luas towards the point would be my choice and get off at the stop already mentioned and cross over the new bridge that looks like a harp and cut through past the Marker hotel and the Grand Canal theater and cross Pearse street to Barrow street.
Failing that, get the Luas to Busaras or Abbey street and cross over to Tara st and get the dart from there and go 2 stops to Grand canal dock.
