So I recently bought an 07 Pajero
it has a few dents on it and is colored bright yellow (I think that the Co-Councill owned it previously)
Any Ideas on how much a respray (in something darker) might cost.

It's not covered with a wrap is it?

Probably around 3k for a good job.

No its not covered with wrap
what is the story with wrap
would it be a similar cost and/or would it look good

Wrap would look grand, but they're not a permanent solution. It won't be as expensive or durable as a paint job.

Ok thanks for the advice, 3K seems a lot for the spray job

You can get it done cheaper than that but you get what you pay for.

Most of the cost isn't spraying or even the clear coat which is the hard bit but all of the prep

Its a 7 year old jeep with some small blemishes that I dont think will ever come out so id be hoping to get away with less than 3k

When i got quoted the price they told me it would include the door sills, engine bay etc, because it was a colour change, anyhow, the car was resprayed but not in the area's i mentioned so when the doors and bonnet were opened,it was clear to see the 2 different colours, plus the paint was flat,no lacquer was applied to it,so in the end to recoup my losses tge car was broken up,it was a 97 and the paint job was done in 2007

Was that in the same colour as it is now? Much easier to do that than change colour.

07 Yellow Pajero? http://www.siac.ie/siac/index.jsp would be my guess - I know they had a load of L200's in 07.

I'd be getting someone to double check the suspension before getting a respray because if I'm right about the original user, then it's probably had quite a tough life on unmade surfaces.

Yep it was the same colour. Its not too hard to change colour now a days. You can get a primer that blanks the old colour and gives some of the future colour

    Didn't belong to siac, they had 2006 L200's but didn't have Pajero's
