Will I be entitled to student grant

    Hi all,

    I'v applied for a college course this September and I was hoping to get the grant. My circumstances are a married mature student and up until this week my husband and I were both unemployed for 13 months. My husband started a new job this week but all of last year (2013) we were on social welfare. I am currently doing a level 5 PLC course but I didnt apply for a grant because I previously got a grant for a level 5 a few years ago.

    My questions is if my husband (please god) still has his job in September will I still qualify for the grant because the year previously I was on social welfare?
