See Double You is out again today in the 4:30 at Naas. I took the 5/1 that was available last night, into 7/2 now. Horse suffers no weight penalty for his appearance the other day. Carberry on board is also surely a positive.

Also, I see Pierlow is out today for a seasonal debut. Hucklebuck - what's the word on this one? :p

Gone in again Francie took the 4.5 on Betfair, little short but with Carberry on board more room to be optimistic.

Wasn't there a claimer on board see you double the other day?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,579 ✭✭✭prettyboy81

More like a thunderbird on board the other day who was all arms & legs!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,931 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Yea, a claimer was on board, he's also the trainer.

Agreed , he should . This is why I'm having a decent bet on Byrne"s horse. Could be anything, and not like the trainer to expose in this manner without justification.

Tom the butcher scu is riding one in towchester for jim best in towchester then making his way all the way to fontwell (2.5hours) to meet adolf pipe on a Sunday afternoon to ride one in the bumper

It would be just like tony Martin to send golantilla out for a spin today with no intention of winning but just to get a run into
    Him

    Hi everyone

First time poster long time lurker. I see a horse runs today that I like for Cheltenham GOLANTILLA. He runs in the bumper he runs very fast.

    Thanks

See Double You is owned by a local pub in my neck of the woods. It was out to win the other day but didn't jump great. They said last night they fancy it again but not as strongly as they did on Friday so take that for what its worth.

The race today looks stronger than the one on Friday. Don't think I could be having the horse at under 3/1 to be honest.

To be honest, I hadn't intended to, but said I would take anything I could around the 5/6 or so mark. Mullins thing is making the market. Think Byrnes horse is overpriced, but yeah, I've had a few bob. Dad is up there so hopefully get a paddock report.

I don't see it happening for you bumper but you should almost certainly be doing bets like these on betfair. (Outsiders in grades races tend to be completely ignored by serious layers)
They have him at 28/1 just to place. 210 for the win.

Walked around to local ladbrokes to put on lucky 63 and spotted him while around there, I'll be happy with 66/1 even if just placed, horses named Harry have done well for me over the last fouple of weeks so hopefully he has a good day and gets up.

Hot Whiskey n Ice in the 3-45. The form of its bumper win has worked out well with the second and third winning next time out

Neighbourhood e-way in the next at Towcester.

Wasn't given a hard time on its first run over hurdles in a better race than this and has since put in a couple of decent efforts on the all weather

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,886 ✭✭✭MoscowFlyer

See Double You still being backed in. Personally I think it's a lay. Just don't see him winning this.

Yeah very strong. Surely a 2 day turnaround for a 3 miler is a huge ask?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,886 ✭✭✭MoscowFlyer

I was in the pub last night and they are all backing it but I didn't get the feeling they were super confident. There's a few of them away down to watch it anyway but Im def haven't went big on it. Took 5s last night for a few quid but no way would I go at this price.

Maringo Bay could be interesting back over fences having had a hack around over hurdles recently

An absolutely magnificent ride and won easily. Only had half the stake on it today that I had the other day though!

Difference between the second a few days ago and he first today.

Horse probably needed an experienced jockey onboard who could mitigate the horses quirky jumping.

"In terms of fitness, its tough to say where he is in comparison to this time last year. He looks a different horse. Proper, big honest thing. He is certainly fit, but not trained to the minute. I'd put him perfectly on schedule for March. Byrnes is the next best looker in the field."

Evs on betfair. Not going to pretend I havent had a right bet at that.

Was just about to post there was opposition to him

Mullins horse is strong against it

11/10 now. Really am surprised at the drift. Hope today isnt a hack around, but I sincerely doubt it is.
