Hi, does anyone know if it is normal to have a buzzing sound (with 0.5 second silent intervals every 2 seconds) from an Artitech ATS 2000 panel?
Just moved in and sounds strange?

Hi yes, I have entered user code and have been using alarm without any problems.

It just a slight background buzzing noise from panel. Just wondering if its normal?

When you say panel, do you mean the keypad which you put your code into or is it the brains of the system ( a blank box around the size of a cereal box).

The brains located in the attic Kub. Was storing stuff in attic and could hear it "buzzing' as described above.

Bit paranoid about fire that's all.

    Could be the power supply?
Is the panel fitted tight to a wall?
If you press you hand against the panel does the noise stop or reduce?

Hi, yes the noise does reduce.

Nothing to really worry about, transformers by their very nature make noise, the way in which the panel is mounted is just amplifying that noise.
It has probably been that way for years.
