I'm contemplating buying a Go Pro for recording minor traffic incidents and some off roading but since I don't wear a helmet most of the time will I realise any benefit? Would the vibes cancel out its quality and resolution making the investment pointless? Thanks.

There's plenty of footage on youtube with handlebar mounts. I would say that the footage would still be pretty workable in the event you needed it. Shakey yes, but I suspect it wouldn't be so bad as to ruin the usability of the footage.

Thank for thé input. I've seen the YouTube footage but I said I'd put it out there before taking the plunge. I don't want to regret it as it's a lorra lolly!

A go pro white is at least one hundred quid cheaper.

I have a go pro and the video quality from it when mounted on the handlebars is excellent. It's almost too good because if you upload it to YouTube, YouTube will automatically downgrade the video quality ( to aid upload speed).
