Anyone tuning in tonight. Tommy Coyle & Luke Campbell both in action so should be interesting fights.

Darren Hamilton vs Curtis Woodhouse for British Light WW title is main event.

Always unpleasant to watch someone getting assaulted.

Yea ref could have stopped that 30 seconds earlier

I do love when boxers have classy entrance songs. "My Way" by Sinatra would def be on my short list. The less said of Hamiltons entrance song the better

After watching Hamilton come to the ring, I'll be shouting for Woodhouse!

Gavin McDonnell vs Leigh Wood. McDonnell was teeing off badly on Wood & you could see his head getting rocked back on a number of occasions with nothing coming back. It looked like the ref stepped in but it was just to break them up for no apparent reason & let the beating go on for another 10 or 15 seconds after that.

    Woodhouse is doing well here.

Hamilton is having better success, but he's looking tired, or is that just me?

Looked exhaused back in his corner at the end of the 5th, and he put an awful lot into the 6th then.

if Woodhouse puts the pressure on here, he could stop Hamilton.

Even though I've money on hamilton, I'd love to see Woodhouse get it.

entertaining enough fight, id give it to Hamilton myself, but Woodhouse has some heart. Credit to him

    Fantastic for Woodhouse

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Absolutely delighted for him! Had Hamilton by a couple myself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,913 ✭✭✭JacksonHeightsOwn

absolute robbery, but fair play to him.

Brilliant effort. I had hamilton by 2 or 3, but Woodhouse deserves that for the sheer effort

Absolutely delighted for Woodhouse. Love seeing people go against the grain.

While I didn't keep a round-by-round score, I certainly thought it was very close and Woodhouse's work was always more obvious and of course, everything he did was cheered to the rafters which can affect the judges.

Jeez I'm tearing up here. Fair play to Woodhouse

£5,000 at 50/1 to win a British title. Nice little payout for Woodhouse.

He should've been in a while before he split them. Never mind the nonsense of not stopping it. Really poor show.

Fair play to Woodhouse. Didn't have it won for me but wouldn't call it a bad decision.

i cant warm to this Campbell kid.

I dont know whether its him or the utter tomato cans that Hearn has him fighting, but either way. I just dont care for him

Oh, and Kell Brook looks chubby at ringside to me

Yea find it very hard to warm to him too. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Kell always looks that way. He is due to fight in the next few weeks I think

    I certainly like Campbell.

He's exactly what British boxing 'needs'. A good-looking, boy-next-door type with a genial disposition and very obvious talent (despite what one uber-negative poster here thinks).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Ah ref no need to stop that. Brizuela deserved the chance to fight back.

Unreal bravery from both guys. Another fight of the year candidate

True, that was as good a show as I've seen in a long time. Some great matchups.

Just watched the fight again there. Really was a fantastic fight.

I was really impressed by Jamie Moore throughout the fight. He remained calm, was encouraging Coyle to relax & breath during rounds & also wasn't overloading him with information.

Good point. I remarked on that myself.

Very disappointed with the stoppage. I had Coyle down by one going into the final round so even with the knock down the lad could have drawn or won it. Up at six and wanted to continue, should have had the opportunity.

That said in taking nothing away from Coyle. Brilliant 'fight of the year' contender and both men were excellent.

Coyle calling out Mitchel though is a mistake. Mitchell wins by stoppage for me.
