    given you aren't overclocking you won't need the dearer K processor or a Z87 motherboard and the cooler is probably going to be over kill as well as a result.

    Do you think you would go with 2 graphics cards in the future or would you be more likely to sell your current one and just get a replacement?

    Also it looks like a reference cooler 290x which isn't ideal probably

    Thanks just the kind of advice I need!

    I heard the R9 290x can get quite hot so that's why I went for the cooler - so will bring the processor back to a 4770 and have a rethink re the motherboard

    I don't think any games at the moment will benefit from having 16GB or RAM over having just 8GB. Given that RAM prices are really high at the moment you could probably save a few quid by just getting 8GB for the moment and then adding more in the future.
