    Hi,

Hoping someone can help with a problem I'm having with my Sky+ HD box.

Some of the channels are not displaying correctly or not working at all since last week.

    RTE ONE: Working fine.
    RTE TWO: Working fine.
    TV3: Working fine.
    TG4: Working fine.
    3e: No signal message.
    Sky1: No signal message.
Sky Atlantic: Very poor/blocky picture & audio.
GOLD: Slightly blocky picture, audio fine.
Dave: Slightly blocky picture, audio fine.
    Comedy Central: No signal message.

    BBC 1 NI: Working fine.
    BBC 2 NI: Working fine.
    BBC 2 HD: Working fine

Sky Sports 1: Very poor/blocky picture & audio.
Sky Sports 2: No signal message.
    Sky Sports 3: Working fine.
    Sky Sports 4: Working fine.
Sky Sports News: Very poor/blocky picture.
Sky Sports F1: No signal message.

Any channels that aren't working fine have either a very poor picture, or nothing at all.

I have checked the cables at the back and reset by holding Back Up and disconnecting from power.

I also have another Standard box hooked up to the same dish with only FTA channels, with everything working OK with it.

    Any suggestions?

Swop the boxes around and see do they work on the other rooms cables.
Use input 1 on the HD box, just for test purposes.

Had this error too - Most channels worked fine but Channels 110 (Uk Gold), 603 and 618 ( Boomerang I think) were coming up with No Signal - Error 25 - I did all the usual things - rebooted etc - swapped the cables at the back but no joy - I then adjusted my dish about half an inch and all challenels are fine now - didnt adjust height - Just loosened screws (4) and turned it (right) .. Hey presto .. If ye are going to try this ye will need someone on the ground letting you know how you are going .. Best of luck

Thanks for the replies, I've ordered a satellite signal finder from Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0042T1V8U/) and will try and sort it myself.

I'll let you know how I get on.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

DIY Sat Meters are very hit & miss.
There's lots of satellites out there and the chances of you finding 28.2E easily are slim. Ideally you need a meter that can be programmed to the satellite that you need.
It's very possible that you simply need to adjust your LNB skew , or possibly water in your LNB.

No need to 'find' 28 east in this case, since the signal hasn't been completely lost.

He's already aligned just needs to tweak it a bit, a basic meter is fine for this.

    UPDATE:

Signal finder worked a treat, all sorted in a matter of minutes.
