Alternative hair dye

I use Affinage B Red dye but there's only one place I can get it online at a reasonable enough price.

What hair dye would be a good alternative to buy?

I want the vibrancy although I don't mind if it's a slightly different red.

    Thanks.
    Online purchases preferable.

In my hair dying days I loved the Schwartzkopf Live XXL range of reds, very vibrant and not too expensive.

Used them, they're not enough for me anymore as I have to use the Creme Peroxide as well! :)

Ah yes, my hair is fair so it probably came out much brighter!

It used to be enough for me, but since I went brighter, it's not anymore! :)

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I've already said it doesn't give me the same vibrant colour without putting dying it blonde first. Build up of colour I guess at this stage but definitely doesn't work as well as I want

L'oreal Majicontrast (red) mixed with peroxide. You can get it in hair salon supply shops but is also on ebay, and there are video guides on youtube.

I used it recently on my few inches of dark regrowth and it lifted my roots and gave me a lovely bright red colour. I then put my usual combo of Directions pillar box red and poppy red over that to even out the colour with the rest of my hair.

Can I ask why you didn't use majicontrast on your whole head?

The regrowth was my natural colour and the directions wasn't coming through very well. The lengths had been coloured with majicontrast ages ago and was already bright enough so I didn't want them to go mega bright compared to the roots. Majicontrast is fine to use all over, I was just trying to even out the colour :-)

I love crazy colour in fire. I need to bleach first though if I am using it as my hair is dark brown

I have crazy colour but find it doesn't last as a whole dye. I use it between dyes usually! Have to find a new stockist though! Haven't bought it in a while!
