Copying and editing home movies

    Hi. I have several home movies which i got someone to copy on to dvds. Now I want to edit and make copies of each of these dvds for various people. I'm using Windows 7. I got Amersoft Video Converter but tbh I am totally out of my depth and haven't a clue how to go about it! Anyone got any suggestions apart from getting a professional to do it?
