Hi, we've a bunch of 24, 13 -14 month old heifers, weighing 400-450kg - out of a maternal bull, but with a fair bit of shape - we plan on holding onto 8 of the best , do you reckon their will be a fair trade for them in the marts in March /April? Out of interest what do you consider to be the best mart in North / west Cork, South Kerry for this type of stock?
    Ta..

secondly every mart has own unique selling point

ive two nice black lim bulling heifers round 450-480kg june and august 2012

family friend wants to buy them before I let the bull to them, id aim to have them calving in dec/jan for selling.. he wants to come and do a deal I wonder what they worth!?

they out the mountain on silage growing frames at the minute but id nearly rather bull them and sell on point of calving as they making good heifers

I'd be afraid to predict what they'll make, but nice Black Lims good R grades at that weight, you're goin into 4 figures.

I might borrow a scales and weigh them and do it by the kg if we both happy!

go with whatever the top 1/4 of 400-500kg heifers in the farming indo that week

Is there any site which gives up-to-date mart prices?
