Shops selling shaving equipment?

I generally buy shaving gear online - razors, blades, creams, soaps etc. But there are times when I would love to see, hold, smell, test products before buying.
Are there any bricks and mortar retail outlets with good ranges of products-Boots, etc have fairly limited stock. Are there any other places out there catering for the shaving obsessive???

Knights Barber shop in Dublin has stuff you can see. Apart from that I'm really not sure of anywhere else.

..if you're in Dublin, The Grooming Rooms have shaving equipment for sale, on display.

I was in there about 2 years ago, so.. their layout/marketing might have changed.

There are also a few L'Occitane stores around that should have some shaving gear.

The store closest to you would probably be in Liffey Valley shopping centre. If you happen to find yourself there check it out.

There really is a gap in the market for a bricks and mortar shaving/toiletry shop for men. If only I had the capital!

Thanks for replies. Was in Knights today. Nice shop, top quality products but a little on higher end of market for my liking. I find L'Occitane good but again perhaps on expensive side. Never heard of The Grooming Rooms, but will be interested in checking it out next time I'm in city.

Its quite a niche market and the overheads in a shop are massive. Rates, rents, wages, insurance. You would have to shift a ton of stock to break even. Shaving.ie has a pretty good business model and the fact its not brick and mortar means its competitively priced.

last time I was down in Waterford (about a year ago now) but Ardkeen Stores (out on the Dunmore Road, near the hospital) have a limited selection of Proraso soaps and creams. It may have the odd shaving brush too. Not exactly what you were looking for but just thought I'd mention it as it is a bricks & mortar shop.

Agree that it is a niche, and really happy with the online model and prices from shaving.ie.

Only gripe is that you cant smell aftershave / test out lather online!

There was a barbers just on the left as you come into Dundrum shopping centre from the carpark, I remember seeing TOBS Lime in the window, this was a couple of years ago though and I'm not sure if it's still there because I haven't been out there in years. Maybe someone who's been out there more recently than me can confirm.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's it, wasn't sure of the name as I was just passing by when I saw the cream in the window.
