Noticed this article doing the rounds online today, it's from an Irish spoof news website called The Holy Harp

"Girlfriends parents heard ‘everything’ last night."

    http://www.theholyharp.com/gf-parents-heard-everything/
Despite 21-year-old Steve Chambers’ best attempts to keep things quiet after being invited home by girlfriend Maria Whelan late last night, a report released today has confirmed her parents not only woke up but could hear the passionate pair in her bedroom the entire time.

Tim and Margaret Whelan (who Steve Chambers hasn’t actually met yet) knew damn well what was going on in their 20-year-old daughter’s room, from when Steve skittishly told her that there was “something really wrong about doing this in your childhood bed”, to the moment he finally collapsed with exhaustion and called her a “good girl.”

Unfortunately it's almost a word-for-word rip off of this

SANTA BARBARA, CA—Despite local 22-year-old Sam Tillard’s best efforts to keep things quiet when he was invited home by girlfriend Jenny Nesbitt late last night, a report out this morning has confirmed her parents not only woke up but could hear the two in her bedroom the entire time.

The report stated that even though their lights were off, Dale and Judy Nesbitt—whom Tillard hasn’t formally met yet—were fully aware of what was happening in their 21-year-old daughter’s room, from the moment Tillard coyly mentioned that it felt “so wrong to be doing this in [her] childhood bed” to the moment he collapsed and asked, “Was that good?”

    .

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

The article has now been removed from their website, this was the original post in its entirety.

    Awake the entire time
“Maria’s parents both woke up upon hearing the taxi parking outside the house, they could hear them sneaking upstairs and gently closing the door to her bedroom (which is adjacent their own)”
    - the report stated.
It also added that when Steve paused just before the act and asked, “they’re definitely still asleep, right?” that her parents were both most definitely still awake.

    Thin Walls
The walls of this typical Celtic Tiger era house are thinly laden – “You can literally hear a pin drop in the next room” the report confirmed.

“It all kicked off with distinctive wet kissing sounds, and then swiftly moved on with their daughter kicking off her heels onto the wooden floor and Steve’s belt buckle jangling as he worked to free himself from his confining jeans.”

    Consistent Noises
According to sources, while some of the initial sounds overheard could technically have been from anything, however, the emergence of sharp, regularly paced intakes of breath could really have only been from one thing.

Maria’s wide-awake parents, who reportedly lay less than five meters away staring silently at the ceiling, could distinctly make out the sound of two people emitting periodic grunts and occasional shushing noises. The report confirmed that they were also able to identify the sound of two naked bodies repeatedly slapping against each other.

Irish website thejournal shamelessly copy and pastes articles from the American site Buzzfeed. They don't even bother changing Americanisms like "awesome", "moron", "totally" etc. Sums up the upcoming generation of Irish journalists.

Every second story on there is related to gays. I've gone back to RTE. A bit Dublin centric but at least you're not bombarded with the gay.

Yeah, surprised they got away with the stuff they printed for so long. Funny read though.
