800x480 resolution is biggest con. This is 7' tablet resolution, not for 9'.

I seen a quad core 4x1.5, tablet *1024x600* 7 inch IPS display, Bluetooth, HDMI, 16gb storage, aluminum base something like a mini ipad if you get my drift in a local shop for 149/ 159... would that be classed as a good deal?

I got some dual core tabs for my kids recently I thought they would be good enough for a 5 & 7 yr old. but the Quad core IPS one looked very tempting for myself, it came with a free leather case too :D

800x480 is a resolution you want to avoid to be honest, that's what most phones have nowadays.

If they claim 4 hours you can guarantee it'll conk out after 2-3. Avoid

Would be much better of getting a refurbished nexus 7 2012 model for around 110 or slightly more maybe

Would agree on this.. got refurb Nexus 7 2012 for my kids and they fly along. Great tablet and have 4.4.2 installed too. Wouldn't touch the DID one - will be like going back to a 386 on dial-up Internet:eek:

People need to stop posting cheap Android tablets as bargains. Cheap does not equal bargain. They are cheap because 9/10 times they are low spec or old models built with cheap parts.

As posters above have said you can spend 40-50 eur more and get a tablet that is streets ahead of this type of tablet.

Would also second those who mention the Google Nexus 2012 model. Got one from the states for my daughter and it is a fabulous bit of kit.

I have bought the Chinese cheapy models over the last few years but never again after seeing the quality of the Nexus 7.

Even the kids cop onto cheap crap tablets.. I have first hand experience! Our 3 year old only wants to play with his sisters Nexus 7 2012; not interested in his older Asus Transformer:confused:

Tantamount to child abuse in my opinion.

You can get sub-€100 tablets with great performance though. Nook HD cost me about 85/90 and the screen on it has yet to be matched, super reproduction, processor motors through everything I throw at it too.

Tesco Hudl also extremely good for price.

Nook and Hudl are well priced. The one the OP posted was just a poor tablet.

I have this tablet it's very slow and there is no way that you get 4 hours battery life, one hour if playing a game on it

I got one and it is very slow. I used it on holidays for doing simple tasks like looking up hotel rooms, phone numbers etc but it is no good for a large amount of surfing or searching unless you already know exactly what you are looking for and just need an update (stock prices etc.).
