Has anyone managed to get the insane chip in Note 2 fixed?

I've sent my phone off twice through Samsung, who use Fonemenders, to get this fixed.

First time they sent it back with some part replaced on the motherboard, and the problems started up within a month, as I still had the insane chip.

This time, after it being with Fonemenders for eight weeks  it was sent back to me with the comment that the reason it was freezing was because of too many apps (I didn't even have that many!) It was still freezing after a complete restore, so I know that's not the reason why!

Just wondering if anyone has any success stories regarding this fault? I'm beginning to feel like I'll never be able to get it solved.

I had a phone sent to fonemenders twice for the same issue (a known Samsung fault) they returned it twice saying it was water damaged (it was never near water or out in the rain) i asked for it to be sent to samsung direct they checked it seen it was a manufacturing fault and repaired it. I dont find fonemenders to be any good at all.

Well I went to Samsung about it twice, and I've explained what it is, but they just ignore it. I don't know what to do now.

They've caused more problems to my phone than they've fixed, it's just unbelievable.

I am, but I haven't actually gone through them :(
I've gone directly to Samsung. It's two times so far.

Right it's being sent to SBE Ireland this time...haven't heard much about them, let's hope that this is the last time I have to send it away!

You realise that your contract of sale is with the retailer??

In your case Meteor it seems.

They have a legal obligation, both in Irish and especially EU law.

There exists a two year Statutory Warranty, which obliges the retailer to either fix, replace or refund for devices which have manufacturing or other faults, depending on the severity.

This warrantly is separate from whatever manufacturers warranty you may have.

Check out the National Consumer Agency website, for a summary if your rights as a consumer.

Don't deal with manufacturers, you have no contract with them, that is up to the retailer.

Thanks for all that! I did actually know, but I didn't know when I originally contacted Samsung the first time.
I then stupidly decided to stick with them because I never imagined that it would remain unfixed after a second attempt.
I don't like the place that Meteor use to fix so I didn't want to go to them right now either.
I talked with Samsung on the phone yesterday and they seem pretty adamant that it will be fixed this time. Let's see if I'm a fool to trust them again lol.
