Shocking carry on if he's gone. He always struck me as somebody who would do whatever the top brass said. Finished his early morning mid week so he could fill in for Hayes, filled in at drop of a hat for any other shows. Thought they ruined his Saturday evening show when they changed it from '80s,90s,now' show to '90s,naughties,now' because his new boss didn't like old music.
Sad to see him go and wish him all the bet in the future.

He seemed like a loyal employee alright. He usually got graveyard shifts though during his 14 years at 2fm. The only time he got a decent slot was when he did lunchtime for a brief stint from 2005-2006.

where is louise duffy gone? i think farrelly would be a great replacement for KC, today fm are flagging a little and could do with a tune up, i am really impressed with 98fm and the transformation they have undergone, they were a forgotten station for a while but now they have some of the best dj's int he country and seacrest

Louise Duffy is replacing KC, Damian Farrelly did lunchtime on 2fm 9 years ago and he wasn't popular.

louise duffy is ok but not sure about her in that slot, still very unproven, its a long way back from the days of ray foley

He was a fine dj and will be missed. I rarely listen to 2FM now but if I tuned in and he was on, I'd stay listening.

I miss Damian on the radio from 6-7 which is most of my commute to work. I accidentally turned over to 2fm one morning about a year ago and heard Damian and never went back to Louise Duffy.
Was shocked when without any word that i tuned into Alan Mc Quillan (yawn) on a monday morning. Thought well maybe Damian is covering one of the other shows post hector, hayes, leahy and other changes as he always did. waited and waited for him to come back on and he hasn't.
2fm treated him like 5h1t3. He was commuting in to work from North Meath for a 1 hour show at 6am and a pre recorded show on a saturday. he deserved better than that given what he did for the station.
Since him and Will have been taken off air i've not gone back to 2fm and I most certainly won't.
I think he'd be great in the old Louise duffy slot on today fm 5-7am. The two they have covering it are boring as hell and literally play the songs, her's the news, hers iano..no interaction with the audience or this is in the newpapaers etc etc

yes damien farrelly was very badly treated by 2fm, even when he was there, i always liked when i caught him on the radio and i cant understand why they let him go and that he has no other station yet, he is miles ahead of louise duffy, he is a very good presenter and hopefully he gets something soon, i heard will leahys first show ont he weekend and he didnt sound too pleased, i know he is a solicitor and part of his family practice so i am surprised he didnt quit radio altogeather, i heard him say that danny from the coronas wants to be a radio dj when the coronas finish and he said something which i felt was a jibe at nicky byrne...
