Re-registering a repaired motorbike?

I used to fix old motorbikes and get them roadworthy again (as a hobby), in South Africa, and want to try to do the same here. But am wary of the system here, how easy is it to get get a deregisterd motorbike, and once fixed up, get it licensed/taxed and insured again. I don't know whether it would be worth the hassel.

Once the frame matches the logbook i should'nt think there would be any problems.

All vehicles remain registered, unless scrapped and a cert. of destruction issued.
