Bank Of Ireland Loan - Debt Collection Agency

I had a small loan with the Bank Of Ireland. However it went into arrears and it went to a debt collection agency. The loan is now paid off but my ICB credit report hasn't been updated since 2012 and says I still owe money. Will this affect my credit rating? Should the credit report not say that the loan is now paid off? Should I contact the bank?

    Thanks

Doesn't it stay on ICB for 5 years after the loan is closed anyway?!

    Hi HKP125,

    Thanks for your post.

If the loan has been paid off in full the report should state this. To have this looked into, it would be best to contact whoever you have the most recent correspondence from.

    Thanks
    Tara
